The Canal Park Beer Fest set for Oct. 1 in Akron has been canceled. The event was scheduled to take place at Canal Park, the baseball stadium where the Aeros play.
Aeros Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Jim Pfander apologized for the cancellation.
“We apologize for the inconvenience to our fans and those looking forward to this inaugural Canal Park Beer Fest event,” Pfander said in a prepared statement. “Due to some scheduling conflicts and other unforeseen circumstances, we have decided to cancel our plans for Saturday, Oct. 1. Even though this event is not coming to fruition, we look forward to providing our fans the very best in entertainment and fun at Canal Park in 2012.”
Anyone who purchased tickets in advance may return them by mail or in person at the Canal Park box office to receive a full refund.
